Every year, we at Little Flower Educational Child Care celebrate the Solemnity of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, the Patroness of our school with our Blessing of the Roses Family Picnic and Raffle providing an opportunity for families and friends to gather together for prayer and fellowship. We conclude with the drawing of the raffle tickets from our big raffle fundraiser event of the year. The main highlights of this event include:
Blessing of the Roses Prayer Service
To begin the event with our Lord’s blessing, the students from Little Flower Educational Child Care and their families welcome Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament with songs of love and worship. Families and our school as a whole then receive a blessing and blessed rose petals to remind them of their patroness, the Little Flower, Saint Therese of Lisieux, asking her for her prayers throughout the school year.
Picnic Lunch
We invite our families and friends to enjoy the picnic BBQ through a free will offering and to spend time enjoying fellowship with one another. This is an opportunity for us to come together as one family.
Raffle Drawing
Raffle tickets are distributed in April and sold until we gather for the Blessing of the Roses where the drawing will take place at the closing of the event. We ask you to sell as many tickets as possible to make this big fundraiser of the year successful. You may always pick up more tickets from the office. Invite other family and friends to join the cause for Little Flower Educational Child Care. We would also be happy to mail tickets out to you. Simply contact us with your name and address and how many books you would like to have.
